Zeman won the first round of presidential elections in the Czech Republic

The current head of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman won the first round of voting in the presidential elections of the country, according to local newspaper Aktualne.

It is noted that it is estimated 99,22% of the ballots. Zeman scored 38.7% of votes (1 million 965 thousand 739 votes). Second place went to the former head of the Academy of Sciences of the country Jiri Dragos (26,5%, 1 million 347 thousand 629 votes).

Aktualne writes that Zeman congratulated the Dragos «a great second place.»

For the post of President of the Czech Republic claimed nine candidates. Sociologists predicted that Zeman can get up to 49% of the vote.
