Yatsenyuk will take the Turkish government’s five-year loan of $ 50 million

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine during today’s meeting decided to attract credit from the government of Turkey in the amount of 50 million U.S. dollars for a period of 5 years and a coupon of 2.5% per annum, reports 11 February 2016 UNIAN.

«The draft resolution proposes to authorize the Minister of Finance to implement the government external borrowing in 2016 by attracting loans worth no more than $ 50 million with a maturity of not later than 5 years at a rate no higher than 2.5% per annum», — said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Jaresko.

According to her, this will be a contract between the Ukrainian and Turkish governments. The Minister explained that the loan is part of financial support of Ukraine from the countries «the Big twenty».

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced that he intends to sign the contract on Monday, 15 February 2016, during the visit to Ukraine of Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutolgu.

Recall that during the official visit to the Republic of Turkey to the Secretary of Council of national security and defence (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov signed a number of agreements on joint military exercises and the production of defence products.
