Yatsenyuk urged the Parliament to reduce the list of prohibited for privatization objects

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on the Parliament in 2016 to reduce the list of objects of state property forbidden for privatization, leaving only the company strategically, but also allow the involvement of new managers in four customs.

About this Yatsenyuk said during a government report to the Parliament on Tuesday 16 February.

In addition, the Prime Minister urged Parliament to support the idea of demilitarization of the tax police and creation of the National Bureau of financial investigation.

«In order to attract investment, you need to conduct transparent privatization. I urge members of Parliament to reduce the number of businesses that are not for sale. To leave only strategic objects. To put everything up for public auction and to give the opportunity to create new jobs and to attract investment», — said the head of government.

In addition, Yatsenyuk called on to consider the strategy of developing new markets.

«The agreement with the EU is substantial progress, but this progress will need to learn. Just as we need to continue the negotiations and sign the Agreement on free trade zone with Canada, agreement with Turkey and Israel», — said Yatsenyuk.

Speaking of customs, Yatsenyuk recalled that the extensive reform of the entire State fiscal service.

«I beg to support the government’s position that four customs received the international advisers who would introduce new standards for customs control, — said the Prime Minister. — And the tax police. The tax police should be abolished at last. I propose to support the establishment of the financial investigation service of the European model, to bring to justice the real offenders of the tax laws».

As reported, earlier Yatseniuk said that the reform of the SFS and large-scale privatization objects which can be 20 of the largest state enterprises of the country, should be a key objective of the government in 2016.

Today the Verkhovna Rada adopted in General the bill is necessary to start privatization. Bill No. 2319а-d was developed by the deputies in return of a similar bill No. 2319а developed by the Cabinet of Ministers. The bill, in particular, to privatization as buyers are not allowed the legal entity or related entities registered in countries recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of the countries-aggressors.

Also not allowed to participate in the privatization of the representatives of the countries for which sanctions have been applied. This limitation is proposed to extend to natural persons who have nationality of a country recognized as the aggressor country.

Earlier, during the forum in Davos, the Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine aivaras abromavicius said that Odessa port plant will be the first company that will be sold to foreign investors.

As previously reported, on proposals of authorized bodies of management in the list of state assets subject to privatization were included 342 of the object.

We will remind, on 9 October, the Cabinet extended to 2016 the basic resolution on the privatization programme in 2015, as the authorized bodies of management of state property has not transferred all assets to the state property Fund of Ukraine.
