He stated on 15 August following the meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels, reported on the website of the popular front.

«The Parliament and government of Ukraine had adopted more than 150 decisions for the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU. Convinced that technical issues will not become an obstacle for citizens of Ukraine visa-free regime», — said Yatsenyuk.

He also stressed that the Ukrainian side has fulfilled all the political and legal conditions for liberalization of the visa regime and hoped that all technical issues will be solved soon».

«This is what he promised two years ago. It’s what you expect the citizens of the country. Therefore, I am convinced that all decisions in this regard have already taken, and those technical issues are to be settled, and can never become an obstacle for citizens of Ukraine visa-free regime», — said Yatsenyuk.

Speaking about the possible timing of the introduction of a visa-free regime, the former Prime Minister recalled that in early September the European Parliament will be considered an appropriate question.

«In fact, we expect that in the middle of October is already the final stage», — he said.

We will remind, in July the European Commissioner for enlargement and European neighborhood policy Johannes Hahn has expressed hope that the issue of visa-free regime with Ukraine can be resolved in October.
