Yatsenyuk: coalition will need to reformat, modify the agreement, and Lyashko is ready to negotiate

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk declares that the necessary reformatting of the coalition and changes to the coalition agreement.

He said this during governmental meeting on Wednesday 17 February, UNIAN reports.

«Absolutely, it became clear that the necessary reformatting of the coalition and changes to the coalition agreement», — said Yatsenyuk.

According to him, today he had a meeting with the President and the faction leaders, including leader of Radical party Oleg Lyashko, who said that his faction is ready «to talks on the reformatting of the coalition and the new addition to the coalition agreement».

Yatseniuk noted that the Cabinet of Ministers supported the strengthening of cooperation with the Parliament.

«We believe that we need to strengthen cooperation between the government and the Parliament and overall political responsibility for the fate of the country,» he said.

Also Yatsenyuk said that the purpose of artificially created political crisis is to hold early parliamentary elections.

«There actually is artificially provoked a political crisis, and it provoked the political crisis is early elections, and, in fact, is nothing but a struggle for power», — said Yatsenyuk.

According to him, what happened yesterday in Parliament, far from democratic standards and the parliamentary system as such.

«We have not heard specific criticisms and specific proposals,» he said.

As reported, on February 16, the Verkhovna Rada 247-th votes recognized the unsatisfactory work of the government, but distrust to the Cabinet of Ministers did not support. In particular, the expression of no confidence in the government voted only 194 deputies at necessary 226.

Today the faction «Batkivshchyna» announced its withdrawal from the parliamentary coalition.
