Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk believes the government is legitimate and wants to put an end to political uncertainty. He said this at the traditional monologue «10 minutes with Prime Minister».
«The government is fully legally legitimate and continues to work. However, political uncertainty remains and it must end,» — said Yatsenyuk.
According to him, the responsibility for the instability lies with the President of Ukraine Peter Poroshenko, his faction (the»Block of Petro Poroshenko») and other political forces that created 2 years ago the coalition «European Ukraine»: «the popular front» and «Batkivschyna», «Samopomich» and «Radical party of Oleh Liashko».
Yatsenyuk urged all political parties to stop the confrontation and to support the activities of the government.
«We have no right to stop reforms and the right to struggle between his own. We must move forward», — said Yatsenyuk.
«We appeal to the President and all national political forces. Or leave society with a realistic alternative program and an effective team able to deliver on that — only program, not campaign slogans. Or stop mutual hostility, shut the passion, step over personal feelings and support the action plan of the country this year», — stressed the head of government.
Yatseniuk said that over the years his government was working in «harsh, often hostile conditions.»
«My colleagues were a daily target for lies, slander and accusations,» he said.
«We were hoping that the reality will outweigh our steps virtuality lies. No worse than an external enemy against changes worked internal enemies: populism, ignorance, attempt to take revenge of old patterns and influences», — he stressed.
According to Yatsenyuk, «the management reforms were undermined by contradictions in the Constitution. The fear of losing the rating was made weak those who should show leadership».
Yatsenyuk stressed that the government attempts to impose somebody else’s will forced the Cabinet Ministers to publicly proclaim principles, «which are a red line».
«Any unconstitutional interference in the work of the government. No pressure for recovery of corrupt practices. No stopping the reforms,» he said.
According to the head of the government, the resignation of the Cabinet will lead to a total crisis in the state.
«In the political hysteria, I see no worries about Ukraine. Normal calculation: to grab power. To do this is to send the government in resignation, through temporary status to paralyze the Central Executive the power to force the President to agree to early parliamentary elections, whose result is quite predictable – they will complete the ruin», — said Yatsenyuk.
We will note, earlier Yatsenyuk told President Poroshenko that he will have to form a new government, if you don’t like the current Prime Minister, but the inability to form new Cabinet will lead to early elections.
