World Cup ski races and biathlon won the Ukrainian Paralympians

In Yavorov (Lviv region) ended the world Cup-2017 International Paralympic Committee cross-country skiing and biathlon, where the first place in the overall standings went to the team of Ukraine.

The team won 56 medals – 19 gold, 16 silver and 21 bronze medals.

The second place team of Germany, whose athletes won 13 medals – 6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals, third place – team France – 7 awards, including 6 gold and 1 silver medal.

In particular, in the last day of competition, the Ukrainian team – 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

In the first start among men with visual impairments — all-Ukrainian podium. The Golden award was won by Vitaliy Lukyanenko (guide — Borys Babar) — 38:50.0, silver award from Anatoly Kovalevsky (Hyde Alexander Moksin) — 39:11.0, a bronze award was won by Dmitry Suyarko (Hyde Potapenko Vasyl) — 39:57.7).

In this same category among women, the first and second place athletes from Ukraine: Oksana Shishkova with Hyde Vitaly Kazakov won the gold medal (33:06.3), Prilutsky Olga with Hyde Baburam Boris was the winner of the bronze medal — 36:58.0. The entire Ukrainian podium in the women’s category standing: Kononov Alexander — first place (29:36.7), Lyashenko Ludmila — silver award (31:09.6), Batenkov — Bauman, Julia — the third place (33:18.9).

Only 10 teams out of 18 that took part in the world Cup, the International Paralympic Committee cross-country skiing and biathlon, won awards.

Now sportsmen will prepare for the world championship on ski races and biathlon, which will be held in Germany, in Finsterau, from 10 to 19 February 2017.
