WADA rejected the accusations of Putin bias

World anti-doping Agency rejected the accusations of Russian President Vladimir Putin bias. This is stated in the response of the WADA at the request of the Russian Agency «R-Sport».

In the anti-doping Agency said that “WADA is transparent and neutral organization,“ decisions which are taken by the Board of founders, consisting of 50% of the representatives of the sport and 50% state representatives.

The response also notes that the mission of WADA – “objective decision making“.

In November 2015, WADA has published a report in which Russia is accused of state support of doping. According to the report, Russian intelligence services were covered by the system of doping, admitted «direct intimidation and interference» in the work of the WADA-accredited anti-doping laboratory in Moscow.

Because of the doping scandal, the national team of Russia on athletics was removed from the Olympic games in 2016. Also the Russian team at full strength is not allowed to the summer Paralympics.

The IOC Executive Board also suspended for life from any involvement in the Olympics and former sports Minister Vitaly Mutko and his former Deputy Yury Nagornykh.

14 Dec Putin at a press conference said that WADA makes a decision under pressure. According to him, WADA, “under pressure from morning till night, intimidated“.
