WADA announced the receipt database of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory

World anti-doping Agency have a database of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory for the period from January 2012 to August 2015. On 10 November, reported the press service of the VAD.

It is noted that «e-file» was received by the Agency at the end of October. Experts WADA continue to study it. For more information about the results of the analysis will be reported at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the organization on November 15-16.

According to the newspaper The New York Times, the data in WADA received from the informant and not through official channels.

In November 2015, WADA has published a report which accused the Russian Federation in government support of doping. The report noted that Russian special services were covered systematic doping Russian athletes, admits the «direct intimidation and interference» in the work of the WADA-accredited anti-doping laboratory in Moscow.

In may 2016 the former head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov, who now lives in the USA, admitted in substitution of the results of tests taken from Russian athletes during the Olympic winter games in Sochi 2014. Against him in Russia got two criminal cases.

Because of the doping scandal, the national team of Russia on athletics was removed from the Olympic games in 2016. Also the Russian team at full strength is not allowed to the summer Paralympics.

14 Sep 2017 16 member countries of the Institute of national anti-doping organizations called on the international Olympic Committee to suspend the Russian delegation participation at the Olympic winter games 2018 in Pyeongchang. 18 Sep requirement was joined by 12 countries. By the end of September, these countries became 37.
