Volynets: the Unions managed to stop madrepora, however, the main battle is still ahead

Confederation of free trade unions of Ukraine is not going on vacation, unlike the deputies, has declared today on air of TV channel NewsOne, the organization’s Chairman Mikhail Volynets, who yesterday led a protest against health care reform and announced a hunger strike.

He added that he spoke to MPs about reform, but they do not understand the essence of the proposed Cabinet changes.

”Yesterday, somewhere at lunch time I was in Parliament and asked different members to explained the essence of the reform. Everyone with whom I spoke, explained that they had not seen the draft law, which is called «healthcare reform”, and that they have no comparative tables», – said Volynets.

During the broadcast, it became known that the speaker closed the session of the Verkhovna Rada and the reform debate was moved at least in the fall. The Union leader said that the organization will continue to fight against the proposed Cabinet changes.

«Thanks to the protests of trade unions failed to stop health reform, but the main battle is still ahead. In the autumn deputies will return to this issue, – he stressed. – We’re not going on vacation, in contrast to the deputies.”
