Volvo will release the first electric car in 2019

In 2019 Volvo is preparing to introduce its first ever electric car. In the future, the Swedish company plans to develop a family of clean cars, writes Autonews.

Thus, the first electric vehicles will be mid-size Volvo sedan. Earlier it was reported that the cruising range of the car without recharging will be more than 500 kilometers.

«We are at full speed moving forward in the development of our first fully electric car. The project launch is expected in 2019 and in future it will continue. It will be a whole line of products,» — said at the auto show in Detroit, the head of research and development, Volvo Henrik grin.
