Volkswagen and Fiat are in talks on joint production of the SUV — WSJ

Corporations Volkswagen and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles are in talks about the beginning of the joint production of a light SUV. This publication reports The Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper’s sources said that negotiations between the car companies are at an early stage.

Together automakers can release new versions of the Volkswagen Caddy pickup Volkswagen Amarok, notes the WSJ.

Volcswagen AG is a German company, which is among the three largest car manufacturers, along with Toyota and GM-Group. The company produces automobiles under 12 brands: Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Ducati, Lamborghini, Seat, MAN, Scania, Škoda, Porsche and Volkswagen itself.

Fiat is the largest car manufacturer in Italy. Since 2014, the company together with Chrysler is a Corporation Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
