The Committee of voters of Ukraine considers that Yury Vilkul, who want to displace from the post of head of Krivoy Rog, bribes of voters, providing residents with financial assistance.

The election law in Kryvyi Rih entered into force

«On 27 January, two months before the re-election of mayor, Kryvyi Rih city Council adopted the decision to allocate from city budget of 50 million UAH for the provision of material assistance to the local residents,» said the organization in Facebook.

«As reported on the website of the city Council, the allocation of funds is an initiative of the mayor Yuriy Vilkul and is part of the Program for social protection of the population. Officially, the funds were allocated «to provide material assistance to various categories of the city due to the increase of prices for communal services,» KIA said.

February 1 financial assistance in the amount of UAH 500 will be able to get more than 100 thousand inhabitants of Krivoy Rog. Among the categories of persons for whom the funds are: pensioners, teachers, doctors, students, public sector workers, veterans, Chernobyl victims, single mothers and families raising children with disabilities.

Given that this initiative is implemented by the head of the city on the eve of elections, CVU «regards it as abuse of official position, use of administrative resource and bribery of voters».

«The competent authorities should provide a proper assessment of the actions of city mayor and deputies of city councils», — said kiu.

There are reminded that «a similar situation occurred in the local elections of 2015 in Chernihiv, where on the initiative of city head residents invested more than 20 million UAH of the budget funds one-time financial assistance».
