Uzbekistan prematurely abolished additional import duty from Ukrainian goods

Uzbekistan prematurely abolished additional import duty with Ukrainian goods introduced on 1 July 2015 for a period of one year, reported the Ministry of foreign economic relations, investments and trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan on its official website on Friday, 19th February 2016.

In the Ministry’s report stated that Uzbekistan has imposed additional import duties to Ukrainian goods in response to the introduction of Ukraine 26 February 2015 for a period of one year of additional import duties of 5-10%.

Uzbekistan abolished additional import duty ahead, as Ukraine has abolished additional import duty as from 1 January 2016.

On January 27 the Verkhovna Rada ratified the Protocol on application of Treaty on free trade Area (FTA) between Ukraine and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
