«The UN development programme began a nationwide social campaign «We need each other», which is aimed at achieving mutual understanding in local communities of Ukraine by debunking stereotypes and prejudices that hinder the integration of the 1.7 million internally displaced persons from the Donbas and Crimea, as well as strengthening integration and social cohesion in the communities of Ukraine», — stated in the message.

The campaign, which runs until March 2017, stipulates in particular a stream of short stories about the life of displaced persons and host communities on national television and radio.

«It is extremely important to spread the positive history of interaction with internally displaced people and debunking the stereotypes about them… We hope that this campaign will help to build bridges between different communities, which because of the conflict are forced to live together,» the press service quoted Director of the UN development Programme in Ukraine of Antomas Kemstro.

Earlier in the Ukraine began a large-scale campaign «You are among friends», designed to help children of immigrants to integrate in the new place of residence.
