Ukrainians in Europe came to protest against Russian aggression

Sunday, 28 February, in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and other countries of Europe rallies to protest against Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, particularly the annexation of Crimea.

In particular, in Paris, Lisbon, Rome, several dozen activists gathered under the flags of Ukraine and EU held a peaceful March to remind the world about the annexation of Crimea and Russian aggression, reports «Radio Freedom».

In Paris all the slogans of the participants of the event sounded French, because, according to the organizers, «the event is designed primarily for French», in Lisbon — in Ukrainian, English and Portuguese.

The protesters sang the national anthem, chanted «Ukraine is Europe», «Crimea is Ukraine» and called for the release of illegally detained Ukrainians Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, and Nicholas Karpuk and Stanislav Klich, which in Russia is accused of involvement in hostilities on the side of the Chechen army during the First Chechen war.

Note that the Ukrainian Diaspora has repeatedly appeared at various rallies. In particular, last summer in London, held March embroidery, and Rome protested against Russian aggression in Ukraine.
