Ukrainian viewers will show the documentary «Crimea. As it was» on the annexation of the Peninsula

Members of the cinematic Association Babylon’13 filmed a feature-length documentary about the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

This was stated by the creators of the film, reports MFN.

In the film «Crimea. As it was» included unique pictures and history of sailors, pilots, paratroopers and Marines, as was the seizure of the Peninsula.

«For the first time since events in Crimea, the Ukrainian audience will be able to see the eyes of the people who were in difficult conditions to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine and protecting her today, to learn first-hand what was happening surrounded military bases and warships blocked», — stated in the description of the film.

The film, directed by Constantine Leccinum, was included in the «Catalogue of Ukrainian films 2015/2016» which is distributed at the major film markets. It will also be presented at the Berlin international film festival within the framework of the Ukrainian stand at the international film market.

First-run «Crimea. As it was,» will begin March 14 in Kiev and will end on 23 March in Odessa. Also screenings and meeting with the crew will be held: March 16 in Mariupol, 17 March — in Dnepropetrovsk, on March 21 in Kherson, March 22 — in Nikolaev.

The picture was created with the support of NATO Information and Documentation Centre.

The film is directed by Konstantin Klyatskin, operator — Vladimir Usik, film editor and sound designer — Paul Linden, composer — Roman Wisniewski, producer Alexander Bratusenko, Executive producer — Sergey Malyarchuk.
