Ukrainian storages remained 9.6 billion cubic meters of gas

Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storages (UGS) from 28 January to 4 February declined by 5.3%, or 536 million cubic metres, up to 9,579 billion cubic meters with 10,116 billion cubic meters this is evidenced by the operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine state company «Ukrtransgaz».

According to the company, February 4 from storage were selected 58.9 million cubic meters of gas.

We will remind, in September 2016, the government approved the schedule of preparation for the heating season, and identified the volume of stocks of fuel to provide consumers with heat and electricity.

In particular, gas reserves in underground storage facilities shall not be less than 17 billion cubic meters.

Thus, according to the estimates of the NJSC «Naftogaz of Ukraine», the gas reserves of 14.5 billion cubic meters is sufficient for passage of the heating season. In the heating season the period of 2016-2017 years, Ukraine entered with reserves of «blue fuel» at the level of 14.7 billion cubic meters.

In January, the Chairman of the Board NAK «Naftogaz Ukraine» Andrew KOBOLEV said that the situation regarding the gas supply in the country is stable.
