Ukraine will offer the EU to extend the sanctions against Russia, said Elisha

The Deputy head of the presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev said that Ukraine plans to work with European leaders over how to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation for six months, and twelve.

He said this on Friday 18 October in the air «112 Ukraine».

«We welcome this decision. It is a recognition that Ukraine has made in recent months all correct from the point of view of the implementation of the Minsk agreements and domestic reforms… I wish we waited for the formalization of this decision by the EU. In this regard it would be important to have the next summit of the European Council, which will take place on 15-16 December in Brussels…» — said Elisha.

«We will continue to work with European leaders to ensure that these sanctions were extended not on the next 6 months, and 12», — he said.

As reported, the leaders of the USA, Germany, UK, France, Italy and Spain at today’s meeting in Berlin agreed on the need to keep sanctions against Russia.
