The Ukrainian side intends to Supplement its statement of claim in the international court of justice new facts of violation by the Russian Federation of human rights.
This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».
«We pass them on (violations of) the European side, but most importantly, they will be used in court as part of our evidence. We are now completely design a whole array of facts we will add to it. Before the hearing, we can file new evidence», — said Klimkin.
He added that for example, «according to Karpiuk and Klychu had several names, now we will expand this list.»
«That is, in principle we on this (addition) to work all the time,» — said Klimkin.
According to the Minister, first, this work is aimed at strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation.
«Second, it works as a complement to our claim. We must demonstrate that these violations continue, we collect them,» — said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
As reported, on January 16, Ukraine has filed a lawsuit in the international court of justice to attract the Russian Federation responsible for the Commission of acts of terrorism and discrimination for its illegal aggression against Ukraine. The lawsuit was filed under the International Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism and the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination.
Earlier today, January 23, PACE Deputy from Lithuania Emanuelis Zingeris at the meeting of the Assembly devoted to the abduction and torture of people in Crimea, said that the representatives of the member States of the EU expect from Ukraine the presentation of the new sanctions list to expand restrictions against the Russians and residents of the annexed Crimea, involved in the persecution of the Crimean Tatars.
The representative of the Crimean delegation, the head of the Crimean human rights group Olga Skrypnik , in turn, said that such a list is ready and will soon be submitted to the MFA.
