Ukraine resumes deliveries of equipment for ships India

State enterprise «Scientific and production complex gas turbine construction «Zorya» — «mashproyekt» (Nikolaev) in 2016 is shipping to India modernized naval propulsion for a series of ships of the updated project under construction at a shipyard in Mumbai (India). About it reports a press-service of the national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC).

According to the announcement, February 17, first Deputy Secretary of the national security Council Oleg Gladkovsky together with the extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India in Ukraine by Manoj Kumar Bharti and General Director of state concern «Ukroboronprom» Roman Romanov took part in the tests designed for the ships of naval forces of India the main gas-turbine Assembly, which took place at the state enterprise «Zorya» – «mashproyekt».

In total, according to the contract, the company must equip four ships of the project until 2019.

The contract to equip the new ships of the Indian Navy was signed in 2013, is one of several projects that the company implements the order of the Indian side.

Also in India on 25 January signed a new General agreement between the state enterprise «Zorya» — «Mashproekt» and the Ministry of defence of the Republic of India, which defined the areas and principles of cooperation between the parties for the next 10 years.

Recall that in 2015 Russia failed to build some fighting ships because of the refusal of Ukraine to supply gas turbine units of «Zorya» – «mashproyekt».
