Ukraine proposes Moldova and Romania the format of trilateral economic cooperation

The project of creating an International economic zone «Reni-giurgiuleşti-Galati» will allow Ukraine, Moldova and Romania to move from competition to Association of potential ports.

This opinion was expressed by Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Moldova Ivan gnatyshyn during the «round table» with participation of Ukrainian and Moldovan businessmen, reports «UKRINFORM».

«The main idea of the project to create an International economic zone «Reni-giurgiuleşti-Galati» — the transition from competition to Association of potential ports of the three countries. This will contribute not only to the recovery of transport volumes on the Danube, but also social and economic recovery of the respective regions of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania», — said the diplomat.

According to him, it’s time to return to the trilateral economic cooperation between Ukraine, Moldova and Romania.

The Ambassador also stressed the interest of Ukrainian companies in increasing investments in Moldova, including in industrial parks created on the territory of the country, however, Ukraine expects the Moldovan side to improve regulatory framework and proper relationship to the foreign investor.

Yesterday, in Chisinau, a Moldovan-Ukrainian business forum organized by chambers of Commerce and industry of Ukraine and Moldova with the assistance of diplomatic missions of the two countries.

Recall that in 2014, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania have determined the route of the black sea ring road. Years of negotiations ended with specific agreements. According to the plan, the length of the black sea ring road will be approximately 7 000 km.
