Ukraine in international courts in disputes on debt now will represent the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of justice and Ministry of foreign Affairs

In the settlement of disputes and international courts in consideration of cases related to the implementation of Ukraine’s public debt, the interests of the country will represent the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of justice and Ministry of foreign Affairs.

This is fixed by presidential decree No. 60 of February 22, announced Tuesday 23 February.

By this decree the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has made changes in the Procedure of protection of rights and interests of Ukraine during the settlement of disputes considered in foreign jurisdictions cases involving a foreign entity and Ukraine, approved by presidential decree No. 581 of June 25, 2002.

The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.

As reported, recently the Russian Federation against Ukraine filed a lawsuit in London’s High court because of non-payment of three billion dollars of debt.
