Ukraine in 2016 showed the largest growth in sales of new cars among European countries

By the end of 2016 Ukraine has shown the biggest growth in new car sales in Europe. The efforts of all the operators managed to implement 64478 new cars, which is 39% higher than a year ago.

In the end, the Ukrainian market has risen on one position and now occupies the 23rd place in Europe in terms of sales, reports AUTO-Consulting.

It is noted that sales growth in 2016 was seen in Europe in almost all countries, except Russia (-11%) and the Netherlands (-2%). But in Ukraine was recorded the highest growth. Well, sales rose also in Hungary (+25%), Croatia (+24%), Iceland (+32%).

During 2016, the European market increased by 5% and reached the level of 16.6 million vehicles. The leader remains Germany, where implemented over the year to 3.3 million cars (+4.5 percent). In second place was the UK (+2.3 percent), the third largest country — France (+5.1 percent). Active growth of the Italian market (+15.8 percent), which allowed us to bypass Russia (-10,9%) in 2016 was a downturn.
