Ukraine has sent to the UN a letter of protest because of the statements of the Secretary-General of the organization ban Ki-moon on the role of Russia in conflict settlement in the Donbass.

This was announced by Deputy head of presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev today, June 17, at a briefing in Kiev, transfers UNIAN.

«Evidence that the UN responded to the immediate application of our Ambassador was that was the edited text of the speech of the UN Secretary General in the appropriate forum, and it is not as readable as it was in the first place,» he said.

«But we have this situation do not leave this for what it is. On behalf of the President, just a few hours ago, was sent an official letter to the UN with a request to circulate this letter as an official document, respectively, the UN security Council and UN General Assembly,» said Elisha.

In turn, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will discuss with ban Ki-moon in his remarks.

«In talking with ban Ki-moon, I clearly say that the logic of hopes for Russia which is aggressor in Ukraine, and the logic of hope for Russia in solving global conflicts in any way must not overlap. This will be the basis of my political positions,” Klimkin said at a briefing.

According to him, the attempt to put in a number of Russian aggression in Ukraine and, for example, the conflict in Syria, in principle, is not an adequate response to the realities of today. He noted that the public position of Ukraine on the statements of ban Ki-moon today announced the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko.
