Ukraine has exhausted the annual quota for corn exports to the EU

Ukrainian exporters completed our quota for duty-free exports of Ukrainian maize in the EU. This is stated in the message information company ProAgro.

As noted, as at 8 January 2016 European buyers were open quotas for deliveries in the EU 295,440 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat, and 3,790 tonnes of Ukrainian barley, which accounted for, respectively, 31,10% and 1.52% of the annual quota.

«The quota for imports of maize in the amount of 400 thousand tons was selected importers completely», — is spoken in the message.

The total volume of duty-free quotas opened by 2016 in the framework of Autonomous trade preferences the EU granted to Ukraine, for wheat, barley and maize is read 0.699 million tons.

So, now issued quotas for grain total volume of 1,544 million tons, the quota usage is 43,71%.

As reported, in 2015 the level of sampling annual quotas on exports to the EU in many positions or remained zero, or not more than 10%.
