Two ATO soldiers, who went to the front from the Maidan, was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine to the two men — Andrei Snitko and Sergey Tabal, who gave their lives defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine during the antiterrorist operation. The relevant decrees of the President signed on November 21, announced in its press-service.

As noted in the message, from the first days of the revolution of dignity Andrey Snitko took an active part in the protest movement. Since the beginning of armed aggression of Russia volunteered and served in the battalion of patrol service of militia of special purpose «Azov» of the Main Department of MIA of Ukraine.

During July-August 2014 showed courage and bravery during several military operations for the liberation of Mariupol, Donetsk region. August 20 2014 near Ilovaisk in Donetsk region the group carried out a combat mission. During cleaning of the territory from the terrorists in the direction of the band a hand grenade was thrown. Snitko covered the grenade with his body, saving his comrades from death. The hero was 18 years old.

Sumchanin Sergei Taba (Callsign «North») from the first days of December 2013 was an active participant of the revolution of dignity. In the area of ATO 18-year-old patriot volunteered. Fought at the Donetsk airport.

He was wounded, but remained in the ranks. Cyborg heroically died 6 Nov 2014 the explosion of an artillery shell during the assault on the militants control tower of the Donetsk airport.
