Turkish warplanes 20 times violated the airspace of Greece

Turkish military aircraft for 15 February has repeatedly violated the airspace of Greece. This is stated in a message to Agence France Press.

So, six Turkish fighter jets and transport aircraft flew more than 20 violations of Greek airspace in the Eastern and Central Islands of the Aegean sea.

At least two Greek military aircraft on Monday rose to intercept Turkish.

The incident occurred before the beginning of the NATO operation to control migration flows and fight against illegal transporters of migrants in the Aegean sea.

Despite the fact that Greece and Turkey are NATO allies between countries remain controversies regarding territorial rights in the Aegean sea and airspace above it. Athens fear that Turkey will be able to use the immigration crisis to increase its presence in the Aegean sea.
