The Secretary of national security and defence (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov believes that Ukraine should introduce a visa regime with Russia for security reasons, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».
In Ukraine is not the time for mass protests, says NSDC Secretary
«My opinion is — Yes (we need to introduce a visa regime — ed). Unfortunately, the Ministry of foreign Affairs we have not supported this position. They appeal to the protection of the interests of our citizens. We do have a lot of migrant workers in Russia. Yeah, maybe not the best of life circumstances they were forced to go. But, I want to say the obvious thing: we have a war with Russia. And we strictly control every move through the Ukrainian-Russian border», — he said.
According to Turchynov, the Russian security services are actively working with all groups of Ukrainian citizens on their territory.» And if their person of interest, they begin recruiting work. If he has the courage to refuse, just throw him in jail, saying that he was a criminal or saboteur DIU Ukraine. I think that such a provocation was launched against Ukrainian journalist Sushchenko and many others», — said Turchinov.
He added that a lot of Russian agents working against Ukraine having the right to move freely across the border. «Today, our countries share no border and the line of demarcation with the aggressor, which at any moment they can turn in the front line. Therefore, we must strictly control any border crossing. And visa is one of the tools of control. We need not only a visa, but clear rules of crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border, stop and check everyone who crosses it,» said Secretary of the NSDC.
He recalled that currently, the entry and exit is allowed. «But, I repeat, we need a very strict visa policy with Russia, with all the problems of Ukrainians who are in Russian Federation, we must proceed from the interests of the country. Visa-free regime, we should be with Europe and a visa regime, — without any exception – with Russia», — he said.
Recall, after the arrest and detention in Russia of Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy said that does not preclude the consideration of the introduction by Ukraine of a visa regime with Russia and expand sanctions.
The Ukrainian Parliament had to consider this measure on 6 October, but of the faction «Block of Petro Poroshenko» and «opposition bloc» opposed.
In turn, the Ministry of foreign Affairs will not support the introduction of a visa regime with Russia, until you have defined the consequences of such decisions. This was stated by foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
«I never opposed it. And the question is not whether a visa or visa-free. We may need more stringent measures than the visa regime. The question is, what will it give us, how we do it and how it will affect citizens: our citizens in the occupied Crimea, on our citizens in Russia», — said Klimkin.
In Ukraine is not the time for mass protests, says NSDC Secretary
Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov considers that the subject of mass protests should not become a weapon that can be used by the enemy for the destruction of Ukraine.
«The enemy could not break through our defenses at the front, therefore, made constant attempts to undermine the situation from the inside. It fits perfectly into the theory of hybrid war, which leads us to the Russian Federation. Their main task is full of internal destabilization, disorder and chaos. It is clear that plunged into chaos the country is not able to provide for his defense. This is an obvious truth and that is why the destabilization inside the country directed actions of special services of the Russian Federation», — he said.
According to him, attempts to destabilize the situation through mass actions that had to go into a riot on 15 and 21 November failed because they did not support the Ukrainian people. «As a result, we had the dances the purchase of extras the 15th, the local antics of the hooligans and looters on the 21st. Of course, the 15th and 21st on the streets of Kiev was simple, Patriotic people who have to defend their rights, or to mark the third anniversary of the revolution, but they were not very many and they were not aimed at provocation», — said Secretary of the NSDC.
According to him, in the belligerent country, the subject of mass actions should not become the weapon that the enemy could use to achieve their goals. «I believe in the wisdom of our people, their responsibility for their country,» said Secretary of the NSDC.
On the other hand, according to Turchynov, the authorities must exercise their functions so that people have no reason to go out. «In fact, should be, the social contract between government and society when the government is doing in difficult conditions everything possible to stabilize the situation, demonstrates transparency in the mobilization and allocation of scarce resources, ensure the safety of citizens and the gradual growth of their income. While citizens support the stability and security of the country, given the threats facing us,» he said.
Recall, 23 October, a group of Ukrainian hackers «Cyberhunt» stated that the hacked emails of Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov and published copies of the discovered documents, which set out measures to destabilize the political life in Ukraine, the result of which should be early parliamentary and presidential elections.
In particular, the site «Cyberhunt» was published documents containing the plans of operational activities on destabilization socially-a political situation in Ukraine («Tariff Maidan», «a Third Maidan» «for heat and bread») with the involvement of the opposition (in particular, mention of the party «Batkivshchyna», «Opposition bloc», the Radical party Lyashko and «American lobby» among well-known journalists and fighters), discredit the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his entourage, plans to promote «Federal status» of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, the use of Hungary and Romania for the decision of tasks of the Kremlin towards Ukraine.
Published documents correspond to documents that the security Service of Ukraine were seized by Pro-Russian organizers of the separatist movement in Transcarpathia, head of the office of the head of the SBU Oleksandr Tkachuk.
«So far, I can officially declare that most of us those documents actually confirmed their authenticity, their compliance with the documents we seized from individuals who are directly connected with the Russian special services and, in fact, recruited and working for the Russian secret services,» — said Tkachuk.
On 3 November, the hackers published the next portion of the correspondence assistant to Putin’s «Ukrainian question». Advisor to the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Zorian Shkiryak on the same day reported that correspondence Surkov, which was posted by hackers-patriots «Cyberhunt» is authentic and it is proved by the examinations of the Ministry of interior, security service, and also a number of very reputable international professional organizations.
The head of the security service of Ukraine Vasily Gritsak has confirmed the existence of the letters, evidence taken by the Russian Federation measures to destabilize the political life in Ukraine.
The plan of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his associates for destabilization in Ukraine, scheduled for November 15-17, failed miserably. This was announced by adviser to the interior Minister Zoryan Shkiryak. At the same time, according to him, the threats persist.
«Ahead of the third anniversary of the Maidan Dignity. According to operational information, Russian special services and their inner satellites do not leave intentions and attempts to organize provocations in the period 20-22 November. Units of the National police and the national guard will be on high alert until November 24-25. The terrorist threat level remains elevated. Preventive counter-terrorism measures of national police and security service of Ukraine continues», — Shkiryak wrote.
