Tuck: I don’t see the need to introduce martial law now

Deputy Minister for the occupied territories George Tuck does not see the feasibility of the introduction of martial law. He said this on air of the ICTV channel on Monday evening, February 6, writes the Ukrainian truth.

«I don’t see the need to introduce martial law,» he said on the question of the leader of «freedom of speech».

At the same time, Tuck believes that in periods when the state is threatened, it is necessary to allow the country’s leadership to take control of strategic objects that are not in its ownership.

«I believe it is appropriate to consider not the question of the introduction or not the introduction of martial law, and it is better to grant any Executive authority the possibility in the case of real public danger, to take temporary control over strategically important enterprises,» he said.

In the parliamentary faction «Block of Petro Poroshenko» to allow for the introduction of martial law in the event of a widespread escalation of the situation in the Donbass.

Recall that the fraction «Batkivschina» supported the introduction of martial law in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
