Transcarpathia recovered from the floods: roads dried out, the houses bring back the light

In the Transcarpathian region, which suffers from flooding, all roads secured passage of vehicles. According to the press service of the State service for emergency situations, on most rivers of the region there has been a continued decline in water levels.

As of 7 a.m. on November 24 in Mizhhirya, Rakhiv, Irshava and Tyachiv districts, which were impounded flood waters as a result of heavy rainfall on 20 and 21 November, the situation is stable and controlled.

SSES units and utilities area allotted and the water pumped out: of the 138 houses, remained impounded four basement houses; from 278 households remains two. The water came down with 17 hectares of agricultural land.

The electricity supply was restored in the de-energized towns. Damaged remain of 490 metres of land coast protection and 110 km of local roads, all roads, vehicle travel is provided.

In emergency and recovery operation involved 227 people and 52 units of equipment.

Recall, the estimated amount of losses from floods in the Transcarpathian region is over 2 billion USD.
