The US has stopped issuing visas in Cuba, the Associated Press reports.

The U.S. state Department will recommend American citizens to visit Cuba, because such travel can be dangerous, and about 60% of consular officials ordered to leave the island nation.

September 17, U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson said that the US is considering the possibility of closing the Embassy in Cuba.

25 August 2017, the US state Department said that 16 American diplomats who worked at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, in 2016, experienced nausea, dizziness, temporary loss of hearing or memory, after the incidents with sound waves.

According to CNN, the audio device was found outside the residence of the American diplomats.

As Reuters writes, but the Americans suffered five Canadians. Cuba’s involvement in denying Washington’s accusations are not nominated, because the investigation has not proved the involvement of Havana. But the state Department asked the two Cuban diplomats in may to leave Washington.

Last week, several Republican senators urged the White house to take action against the government of Cuba and send all diplomats in connection with the incident.

In December 2014, the Washington officially announced the beginning of a policy of reconciliation with Havana. Cuba and the US restored diplomatic relations after 54 years. 20 Jul 2015 has officially reopened the Embassy of the United States and Cuba.
