The United Nations imposed «the most stringent» sanctions against Pyongyang

The UN Security Council unanimously supported the new sanctions against North Korea, restricting coal exports to the DPRK in China. The result severokrymskaya supplies to China will be reduced by at least 62%. In addition, the sanctions prohibit the export of copper, zinc, Nickel and silver, informs BBC.

The current sanctions — «the most stringent», said UN Secretary-General ban Ki-moon.

According to him, the adoption of the resolution will be a signal to North Korea that should stop the testing of nuclear weapons.

Recall that in early September, North Korea announced the fifth successful test of the atomic bomb. It was the most powerful in the history of the country’s nuclear program.

Testing condemned China, USA, Russia, IAEA, and the UN then threatened new sanctions.

Two days after that, North Korea launched several ballistic missiles towards Japan.

Scientists suggest that now North Korea has nuclear warheads, which can be equipped with missiles of near and perhaps medium range.
