The creation of a modern national Anthem of Ukraine takes its beginning in the fall of 1862, when the Ukrainian ethnographer, poet and journalist, an active leader of the Ukrainian liberation movement in right-Bank Ukraine Pavlo Chubinsky wrote the Patriotic poem «Sche not vmerla Ukrayiny I Slava, I Volya».
Words Chubinsky was set to music of Mikhail Verbitsky — the humble priest, gifted with the talent of the composer, one of the founders of the Ukrainian school of composition.
The first documentary evidence of the performance of the song dates back to the 10th of March, 1865, officially considered the date of the first public performance of the national anthem. Interestingly, the first replicated the LP record of this song was made by the Studio of Columbia (USA) in 1916.

But state approval this song was only received on 15 March 1939 as the national anthem of Carpatho-Ukraine. This state lasted not long. After the collapse of the anthem was banned by the Hungarian government, as well as over 70 years in the Soviet Ukraine.
Note, hit the famous Ukrainian singer Tina Karol , entitled «Ukraine — it’s you» is now added to the compulsory study in schools.
