The UK is not bluffing, talking about the UK leaving the EU, said the foreign Minister

The British foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has warned that his country would exit the EU if Brussels does not guarantee that the London to undertake substantial reforms.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Hammond said the reform package must be «reliable, substantial and irreversible.»

If the Brits will be offered anything less, they will vote for an EU exit in a referendum that needs to pass before the end of 2017.

The British Minister said that Britain will «survive» outside the EU, although will get away from economic damage.

Hammond also stated that he expects activation of negotiations with the European leaders in the near future. According to him, European partners should understand that the UK is not bluffing on this issue.

Recall that a month ago the House of Commons supported the plan, Prime Minister David Cameron on holding until the end of 2017 a referendum on future membership in the European Union. David Cameron has repeatedly stated that he would like to keep Britain in the EU. Thus he seeks review of the role of countries in the European community. Britain also insists on limiting welfare payments arrived in Europe migrants.
