In London public transport from now on, passengers will be treated are not familiar with the phrase «ladies and gentlemen», but to call them neutral «everyone» (everyone), the BBC reports.

The Department of transport say that by using this measure, the citizens of the British capital will feel welcome in public transport. The decision was supported by the mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the LGBT community.

Khan, in turn, recalled that the British capital is «diverse, multicultural» town, and not all citizens are comfortable when they are divided by gender.

He added that if someone from the staff called passengers on-old «lady and gentlemen», it will not be an offence, he will remind you of the new order.

In the LGBT community Stonewall said that gays and lesbians are «extremely sensitive» to language, and a new appeal will allow them to «feel included».
