The state forbade the Ukrainian-Russian series with Freimut

The state Agency of Ukraine for movie denied state registration and the right of distribution and demonstration of the Comedy series «Hotel».

This was reported on Tuesday on the Agency’s website.

«The state Agency of Ukraine for movie denied state registration and issuance of state certificate for distribution and showing t/of the series «Hotel» (dir. Fedotov A., Maslov A.)», — stated in the message.

As noted by the Agency, the decision was taken in accordance with paragraph 10 of the Regulations on the state certificate for distribution and showing of films and article 15-1 of the law of Ukraine «On cinematography», which regulated that the ban on the broadcasting of films produced by individuals and legal entities of the aggressor state, not containing promotion or propaganda organs of the aggressor state and their individual actions, applies to films produced and/or published for the first time (shown) after January 1, 2014.

According to specialized media, the Russian-Ukrainian Comedy series «Hotel Eleon» Director Anton Fedotov and Anton Maslov is a spin-ofom the Russian sitcom «Kitchen» (a continuation of the main actors of which are the characters previously included in the primary work).

In «Hotel Eleon» played a Ukrainian TV presenter Olga Freimut.

Recall that in late November, the state canceled the state registration and revoked a state ID card for seven series of the Russian production.
