Claims of minority shareholders of PJSC «Ukrnafta» to the Ukraine in the lawsuit to the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm chamber of Commerce increased to $5,439 billion.
This is stated in a statement released by the Ministry of justice materials in the procurement system ProZorro, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».
In September 2017 in the prospectus Eurobonds of Ukraine stated that the claim of minority shareholders of Ukrnafta amounted to $4.7 billion.
According to the document, the oral hearing in the arbitration is scheduled for February 19 – March 2, 2018.
Ukrnafta is the largest oil and gas company of Ukraine. The group «Privat» businessman Igor Kolomoisky owns 43% of the company «Ukrnafta», «Naftogaz» – 50% + 1 share. For a long time the company controlled group «Privat», but in 2015, was adopted the law on the lowering of the level of the quorum required for convening a shareholders ‘ meeting, which allowed the state to return the management of the company «Ukrnafta». 4 February 2016, changes were made in the composition of the Board.
Minority shareholders of PJSC «Ukrnafta» (Cyprus Littop Enterprises, Bridgemont Ventures and Bordo Management) in June 2015 filed a lawsuit in the Stockholm arbitration court against the state of Ukraine. They accused Ukraine of causing harm because of the selection of gas produced by Ukrnafta, without payment or by payment at a lower price; the failure of «Naftogaz» and «Ukrtransgaz» decisions of the Ukrainian courts; the sharp increase in the rates of payments for subsoil use; reduce the quorum for a meeting of joint-stock companies.
The Ministry of justice of Ukraine in the case against the minority shareholders of «Ukrnafta» attracted a British law firm Latham & Watkins.

The Prosecutor’s office said that the searches in the premises of PJSC «Ukrnafta» was held in the framework of criminal proceedings on the fact of abuse of officials of Ukrnafta in the 2013-2015 period. According to the Prosecutor General of PJSC «Ukrnafta» reduced oil cost at the auctions in the interests of the enterprises of group «Privat», thus the company suffered damages in the amount of UAH 140 million.
