The season of road work in 2017 will start earlier than usual.

The season of performance of works on restoration of roads after the winter period in 2017 will begin in April. As the press service of the Cabinet, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during a visit to Kherson state Maritime Academy.

«Next year I would like to we have begun maintenance season in April. But it will depend on weather conditions. So now preparing of design estimate documentation, projects, conduct tenders and so on — all that is necessary in order to pass to APR all procedures», — quotes the Ukrainian press service.

The Prime Minister also noted that the government intends to end the practice of using road sector businessmen wishing to capitalize on the construction of roads.

Poland will allocate 68 million euros loan for the repair of 6 of the border roads in the West of Ukraine

Poland will allocate 68 million euros loan for the overhaul of about 175 km in the six cross-border roads in Western Ukraine, in particular, on five roads in the Lviv region and on the same road in the Volyn region.

As reported the press service of the State Agency of highways of Ukraine («Ukravtodor»), a decision made in the Protocol of the Ukrainian-Polish working group on transport, which was signed by the Deputy Minister of infrastructure and construction of the Republic of Poland Jerzy Schmidt and Deputy Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Lavrenyuk.

The report notes that this decision was taken today during the visit of representatives of the Ministry of infrastructure of Poland to Ukraine.
In particular, it is planned to repair some parts of the roads sycamores — Pears, Pears — Nemiroff, Nyzhankovychi — Sambir — Drogobych — Stryi, Chervonograd — Rava-Ruska, transmission «Smolnica» — Staryi Sambir, Ustyluh — Lutsk — Rivne.

The European investment Bank will allocate Ukraine EUR 200 million loan for urban transport in 20 cities

One of the main creditors of municipal projects and projects of the private sector of economy of Ukraine — the European investment Bank (EIB) will provide the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine of 200 million Euro loan, proceeds of which will go towards the renewal and modernization of urban passenger transport in 20 cities of the country, reports UNIAN.

The European Union delegation in Ukraine reported that this project will contribute to the implementation of the National program of urban public transport, which deals with the government of Ukraine. In particular, the project provides for the purchase or modernization of existing rolling stock, trolleys, trams and buses; the rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure of public transport, particularly the tram tracks, lanes for buses, vehicles and stations, depot.

The project will be implemented in 20 cities and consists of multiple investment schemes with capacity from 1 million euros to 50 million euros. Final beneficiaries of the project will transport utilities or city.

The EU delegation added that the investment costs of schemes that are supported in the framework of this credit may reach 400 million euros, while the share of co-financing the EIB of this amount will reach 50%. The project also will co-Finance the European Bank for reconstruction and development.

«The best level of customer service and efficient operation of public transport in medium and large cities of Ukraine will increase the quality of life of citizens, improve the environment, promote energy conservation — which will lead to the increase of production volumes», — stated in the message.

As reported the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure, November 11, the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian and Vice-President of the European investment Bank , the vazil hudák will sign the relevant financing agreement in the framework of the project «Development of city passenger transport in the cities of Ukraine».
