The Russian foreign Ministry said that starting from 2014, the passport of the Russian Federation has received 167 thousand Ukrainians

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia declares that in the period from 2014 to 2016, the citizenship of the Russian Federation has received 38 167 thousand Ukrainians.

It is reported by the first Vice-speaker of the Parliament, the representative of Ukraine in the Tripartite contact group Irina Gerashchenko.

«Together with the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, we managed to put the squeeze on and get the RF information with respect to those citizens of Ukraine who have acquired Russian citizenship and refugee status,» she writes in Facebook.

Gerashchenko said that the information received from the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation the number of refugees slightly different from the reference a month ago.

«So, according to the note the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in the period from 2014 to 2016, the citizenship of the Russian Federation received almost 170 thousand citizens of Ukraine. In particular, in 2014 – 24 141 people, in 2015 – 67 400, for 9 months of 2016 – 75 497 people,» – said the first Vice-speaker.

Unfortunately, Kiev is not given information, how many of these citizens have fled from occupied Donbass, and it is obvious that the vast majority of these citizens – is a certification of the Crimean people, which massively make citizens of the Russian Federation, says Gerashchenko.

She stressed that Ukraine will require the information how many of these new citizens of the Russian Federation – the Crimean people and pensioners, in the context of discussions about the payment of pensions.

«Well, refugee, this status in Russia for 2,5 years of war has received about 350 Ukrainians, in particular, in 2014, 240, in 2015 – 84, in 2016 – 31 people.

We will remind, at the end of December 2016 in the state Duma introduced a bill which simplifies obtaining Russian citizenship to native Russian speakers. The bill proposes to equate the rights of two categories of citizens and to eliminate an unnecessary requirement to Russian native speakers.
