Russia is complying with the sanctions regime against the DPRK in full. This was stated by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation the comment to Agency «RIA Novosti».

The Agency said deliveries of petroleum to North Korea quotas, but no complete ban.

On 22 December the UN Security Council approved new sanctions against the DPRK. The resolution adopted at the initiative of the U.S. delegation, was supported by all 15 members of the security Council.

The document adopted by the reduction of oil supplies to Pyongyang increased to 89% (in the previous resolution was 55%), a ban on the sale of the DPRK industrial equipment, vehicles, iron, steel and other metals, as well as a number of food and agricultural products.

The US President Donald trump said that he was disappointed with the supply of crude oil of China in the DPRK.

On 30 December, the Agency Reuters with reference to sources reported that the Russian tankers at least three times over the past few months have been supplying the oil to the DPRK, in violation of UN sanctions.
