The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia «started working on a response» to the inclusion by the U.S. Treasury in sanctions lists of four Russians and a Russian company, which was suspected of having links with North Korea. This was stated by Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, reports the press service of the Ministry.
According to him, Washington once again «stepped on the same rake».
«Set by the Obama administration to «trend» on a consistent collapse of bilateral relations continued. Since coming to the White house new team this is the fourth such excess. On such a dismal background is extremely unconvincing are the arguments of the American representatives on the desire to stabilize bilateral relations,» – said Ryabkov.
The representative of the Russian foreign Ministry expressed the hope that «the voice of reason sooner or later will prevail and our American colleagues are aware of the futility and destructiveness of further unwinding of sanctions spiral».
Under the restrictive measures of the USA were Russian citizens Irina Hues, Ruben Kirakosyan, Michael Peklin and Andrei Serbin.
Also in the sanctions list were registered in Moscow company «Gefest-M», which, according to the U.S. Treasury associated with the North Korean company Korea Tangun Trading Corporation.
All new defendants in the sanctions list, according to the U.S. Treasury, or helping those who are already under sanctions over the missile program of the DPRK, or «engaged in energy trade with North Korea».
