The international Committee of the red cross plans to allocate 60 241 000 Swiss francs for assistance to Ukraine in 2017. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons.
«This year, the international Committee of the red cross outlined the main targets in 2017 for Ukraine, the implementation of which 60,241 million Swiss francs (1.62 billion UAH – ed.)», — stated in the message.
Funds will provide for the protection of civilians living on both sides of the line of contact, including the wounded and the sick; to promote the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the needy; to ensure priority needs of this category of the population (food, hygiene kits); assistance to victims of conflict households; to assist in the treatment of chronically ill and injured persons on both sides of the contact line; for the provision of psychosocial, legal and administrative assistance to relatives of missing persons.
The international Committee of the red cross plans to hold training sessions for local units of the State service for emergency situations of the danger of mines, engineering, demining, and provide the special equipment necessary to clean such areas.
Earlier, the United Nations launched a humanitarian response plan for Ukraine in 2017, according to which it will provide financial support 3.8 million people in dire need of help.
