The question of electronic declarations for activists, Parliament may consider on 3 April

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy suggested that to consider the abolition of mandatory electronic Declaration for NGO activists next week. This is the website of the Parliament.

According to Parubiy, the question MPs should be seen April 3 in the beginning of the meeting.

«Today, during a meeting of chairmen and representatives of factions and groups of Parliament agreed on that will work in their factions, we jointly came to a positive decision», – said the speaker.

According to the schedule, this week the MPs work with voters, the next plenary meeting will take place on 3 April.

Today European Commissioner for neighbourhood policy, Johannes Hahn, has criticized Kiev for the fact that the compulsory electronic Declaration activists not canceled.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged MPs to «hear the arguments of civil society, our partners, the head of state and to take a responsible decision to cancel the electronic Declaration».

March 23, 2017, the Verkhovna Rada voted in the second reading for the bill No. 6172, obliging members of public organizations from 2018 to submit electronic declarations. March 27, Poroshenko signed amendments to the law on e-declarations.

On March 22 the Verkhovna Rada rejected the draft law No. 8120, which suggested the abolition of the introduction of compulsory electronic Declaration for NGO activists in 2018.

The deadline for the submission of electronic declarations will expire on April 1.
