The Kyiv Prosecutor’s office reported the suspect removed the chief of staff of the Kyiv city state administration Volodymyr Bondarenko in connection with the counterfeit diploma about higher education, reports the press service of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
«The chief of staff of the KSCA 31 August 2017 announced suspicion upon use of obviously counterfeit document-the diploma of the Lviv national University named after Ivan Franko, and assistance in the manufacture of this fake document,» – said the Prosecutor’s office.
Action officer qualified under part 4 of article 358, paragraph 5 of article 27, part 1 of article 358 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
After the ceremony suspicion he was interrogated as a suspect, but from questioning the official refused.
May 11, the journalists of «Schemes» published a case where he was accused of using a fake bachelor’s diploma of the Lviv national University named after Ivan Franko, on the basis of which he received a degree in Kiev national University of Taras Shevchenko.
In response, the Kyiv city state administration, which received the editors, says that the materials of the personal Affairs Bondarenko no information about his studies at the Lviv national University.
The investigative Department of the Main Directorate of Ukraine in Kiev reported that it had commenced criminal proceedings on signs of the criminal offense under part 4 of Art. 358 (forgery) of the Criminal code. This article assumes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to two years.
In the official biography Bondarenko stated that he received a law degree, but does not specify in any University.
On 13 June the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko Bondarenko suspended from duty «pending completion of the formal audits and investigations related to the disclosure of information about the alleged use of counterfeit documents».
