The Prosecutor’s office announced on suspicion of four former policemen in the case of the Maidan

Attorney General’s office announced suspicion of four former policemen for the illegal detention and bringing to criminal liability obviously innocent 11 participants of peaceful protests on 18 February 2014.

They include former first Deputy chief of Dneprovsky district management of militia of Kiev, Deputy head of the investigation Department, and two investigators, the press service of the GPU.

The investigating judge made the application for the application to the suspect the measure of restraint in form of detention and house arrest, and their removal from current posts.

Pre-judicial investigation proceeds, evidence gathered for prosecution of the other employees of internal Affairs bodies, prosecutors and judges for the Commission of similar criminal offences during the Maidan.

Earlier Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko promised that before the end of the year are convicted in absentia all the established persons involved in the executions of people on Maidan.
