The Prosecutor’s office and the SBU carried out searches in Luhansk OVGA

The Prosecutor’s office jointly with the office of the security Service of Ukraine in Lugansk region prevedel searches in one of the departments of Lugansk regional military-civil administration.

This is stated in the message of press-service of Prosecutor’s office of Luhansk region.

As noted, the Prosecutor makes pre-judicial investigation in the case on the fact of abuse of official position of officials of the Department of economic development, trade and tourism of the Luhansk regional state administration, on the grounds of criminal offenses under part 2 St. 364 (abuse of power or official position) the criminal code of Ukraine.

It is established that the malefactors who occupy senior positions in the Department, wrongly invoiced monthly for 2016 inflated awards to its employees and further, abusing official position, appropriated them contrary to the interests of the service for the purpose of self enrichment.

«During the searches the seized computer equipment and cash in significant amounts, as well as documents relevant to the investigation of criminal offences. In criminal proceedings interrogation of witnesses, assigned to conduct complex forensic examinations for the purpose of establishment of the damage to the state», — stated in the message.

For this time the pretrial investigation proceeds.

Recall that in early November it was reported that the counterintelligence of SBU detained a Ukrainian civil servant, who out of fear of physical violence by militants agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities. It was noted that the occupiers tried to recruit Ukrainian civil servants, which the militants arrested on the demarcation line in September of this year. The man agreed to cooperate with the enemy under threat of physical violence, but did not commit illegal actions. Counterintelligence caught the attacker in advance.
