The Prosecutor General’s office checks to see how the FSB and marmots affect actions against Maidan

The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine checks, whether the exerted influence of the FSB and the Russian President’s adviser Vladislav Surkov to the decisions regarding use of force against participants of the Maidan.

About it on air of Radio Liberty said the head of the office of special investigations the Main investigation Department of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Serhiy Gorbatyuk.

According to him, during the visits to Kiev Surkov and members of the Russian security services met with the leadership of the state and law enforcement, but the result still sets the form in which they influenced the decision of the then government.

«The meetings were discussed all this, a certain effect was. The investigation examines how this influence actually led to the consequences that occurred. Or was it a recommendation whether these were direct instructions, guidance, how best to counter protest actions,» – said Gorbatyuk.

Recall that in October last year, the PGO confirmed that during the Revolution of dignity in Kiev was several times visited by the FSB (27 in December of 2013, 7 people in the 20’s of February and 7 February 20, 2014, during the shootings on Instytutska) and Vladimir Putin’s Advisor Vladislav Surkov. Then the General Prosecutor’s office stated that these visits were with a reconnaissance mission to collect information about how organized the protests.

In Russia, the statement about the presence in Ukraine during the events on Maidan members of the FSB of Russia and Surkov called «nonsense.»
