Russia will respond to the upcoming U.S. report on in the West the assets of Russian politicians and businessmen close to the Kremlin, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov on January 12, writes «Interfax».

He noted that sanctions «are always a cause, usually some counteractions». According to Peskov, in this case, «the principle of reciprocity remains the cornerstone».

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said yesterday that the report should appear shortly.

The newspaper «Kommersant» reported with reference to sources in Washington that the «Kremlin report» will include 300 people.
