The President has signed three patent law. Consultation with the European Commission on electronic customs continue

President Petro Poroshenko has signed three laws from the «visa package», which is necessary for obtaining a Ukraine visa-free regime with the European Union. In the matter of the law on electronic Declaration consultations with the European Commission.

In particular, signed laws (No. 4056) «On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on implementation of the recommendations contained in the sixth report of the European Commission on the implementation by Ukraine of the action Plan on liberalization the EU visa regime for Ukraine, regarding the improvement of the framework for the operation of the National Agency of Ukraine on identification, investigation and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes»;

«On amendments to the criminal and Criminal procedural codes of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the recommendations contained in the sixth report of the European Commission on the implementation by Ukraine of the action Plan on liberalization the EU visa regime for Ukraine, regarding the improvement of the procedure of arrest of property and special confiscation» (No. 4054);

«On amendments to the Law of Ukraine «On Prosecutor’s office» to ensure transparency regarding the organization of the activities of Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office for the purpose of implementation of the recommendations of the International monetary Fund» (No. 4055).

Poroshenko reminded that these laws were introduced by the Verkhovna Rada by the President as urgent and was adopted on 18 February.

«Their main goal is to ensure the fulfillment of criteria in the sphere of fight against corruption, necessary for the abolition of the visa regime with the EU, in particular the procedure of arrest of property and special confiscation, the activities of the National Agency of Ukraine on identification, investigation and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes , as well as Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office», — noted in a press-service of the President.

Poroshenko also noted that the law on electronic Declaration (No. 3755) continue consultations with the European Commission aimed at finding the possible changes that the President is ready to introduce to Parliament. These changes, according to the head of state will meet the best European practices.

The President also calls to end the procedure of appointment of the whole of the National Agency for prevention of corruption and to ensure its proper operation.

Earlier people’s Deputy from «BPP» Sergei Leshchenko said after his meeting in Brussels with senior representatives of the diplomatic Department of the EU that the EU believes that Ukraine has fulfilled all legal obligations within the framework of the transition to the abolition of visas.
